Birch essential oil is steam distilled from the bark of the Birch tree. Aromatically, Birch has a sweet, spicy, and minty scent.
"Native to Canada and the United States, Birch trees can grow up to 75 feet in height. Its peeling bark provides powerful benefits, making Birch essential oil highly valued and sought after. Birch is ideal for massage, providing a soothing, cooling effect. Diffusing and inhaling Birch is stimulating and uplifting. Birch can be applied topically and is beneficial in purifying the skin and maintaining a clear, healthy-looking complexion." Due to its seasonality and limited supply, Birch essential oil was offered by dōTERRA only one time per year, making it even more desirable among CPTG® essential oils. Unfortunately, the supply has been too low the last few years, and dōTERRA has not been able to offer Birch essential oil and maintain sustainability standards. An excellent substitute for Birch essential oil is Wintergreen essential oil.
Always follow recommended dilution when applying. DO NOT take internally.
Birch is regarded as the “Oil of Support.” It may assist one in feeling supported, firm, resolute, strengthened, grounded, connected, and receiving. Birch may also assist one in releasing feeling unsupported, alienated, fearful, weak-willed, overly flexible, and rejecting help.
