Wild Orange Power Bites, From Sandy
Last week, I had an essential oils workshop at a friend's house. Besides my knowledge of essential oils, I brought two snacks with me that called for essential oils in their recipes. I searched dōTERRA's blog for recipes that were easy to put together quickly. They were both a big hit, and instead of keeping these babies to myself, I wanted to share them with you. Today, I'm sharing the Wild Orange Power Bites recipe.

Why Power Bites?

Power bites, or power balls, are two bite treats that are filled with healthy fuel for your body. This particular recipe is packed with powerhouse ingredients to give you an energy boost when you need it.
Coconut: proteins that help the body build cells; essential minerals; healthy fats; good for digestion
Almond Butter: slow digesting proteins to provide a more steady source of energy
Cranberries: decrease inflammation;  boosts immune function; aide the digestive tract
Raw Honey: natural energy source; boosts immune system
Salt: brings out the depth of the other flavors
Chia Seeds: another source of stable energy; high in vitamins and minerals; contains omega 3s, fiber and proteins
Wild Orange: uplifting and energizing; contains limonene which stimulates mood

  5. Store in the refrigerator and eat when you need an extra boost of energy.

How to Get Wild Orange Essential Oil

First and foremost, I don't recommend substituting another company's version of Wild Orange essential oil for this recipe. Use only dōTERRA Wild Orange. If you do not have access to dōTERRA oils yourself, or through someone you know, click on the photo below that best suits your needs.
If you make these, please let me know what you think of them! I made them exactly as the recipe directed, but I'd love to hear your adaptations.
